Dad drove the car ‘cause I’m too little (even though I put up a big stink and layed on the horn a few times in protest as I climbed into the back seat).On the road I ate Twizzler and drank Dr. Pepper ‘cause dad said we were on a “road trip” (and mom wasn’t around).
When we got to the campsite, I was dirty in no time. Dad said that just meant that I was a boy and was having fun.
We roasted hot dogs for dinner, played Frisbee and got more dirty. I found a tree stump that I really liked.
When it got dark we started a fire. Dad said not to get too close so I wouldn’t fall in. Anyone who knows me, knows that that was good advice!
After playing awhile it was time for bed. Dad bought me my very own, brand new alligator sleeping bag that I thought was so cool. Cool, until I figured out dad was sleeping in another sleeping bag next to me. I gave my dad a big hug so he wouldn’t be scared (wink wink) and decided to sleep with him in his sleeping bag on a twin air mattress. I went right to sleep. 
I made lots of new friends and everyone in the ward got to know my crazy personality a little bit better. Mom made me take a bath right when I got home.
We had fun camping-just me and my dad.

Was that not the cutest post I have ever seen in my life!!! Dax, you are such a great writer!! We're so glad you had such a great time with your daddy on this campout! McCoy was so jealous, he cant wait to have that much fun with his daddy! That 2nd picture down of you is just adorable, im sure everyone could agree :) YOu look like you had a blast and we're so glad you are making great memories with your daddy. You guys are such the best of friends! Gosh, you are so cute, I wish you and McCoy could play more. Just seeing that CARS pillow case of yours tells me that you and McCoy would get a long so well. DAX.....great story and I am thrilled you had such a great time camping with your dad!!! Maybe you could talk my mom into letting my dad take me camping....she does not like dirt at all....

LOVE that story. It was adorable! Dax looks so cute in those pictures! He's a very funny boy! And a great camper to sleep with is scared daddy! Love it!
So cute!!! Sam took Zack to the Father and Son's and they had a blast too!!! Unfortunately, our ward is weird and they don't camp, they just had a bbq kinda thing, and then they came home. Weird, but fun!!!
That is so cute!!! I love how you wrote that. So so fun! I love Father and Son's camp outs. I think it is good for these little boys to go on camp outs with their Dads. Now, I want to do a family one too.
