I like my yellow boots--Scratch that--I LOVE my yellow boots.
Some might say I am obsessed.
My dad is a little embarrassed for me when I insist to wear them around town.
My mom thinks it's cute until I fight her tooth and nail to wear them to bed. She always wins.
I tend to wake up at the crack of dawn.
I'm not able to go outside until the sun comes up though. Sometimes that is hours. And that makes my mom sad that she has to listen to me cry at the sliding door. It's only a matter of time before I figure out that silly lock.
When I get outside I like to sit. Like a bird in a tree. Just sit and listen.
My dad grew some green winter grass this year. I helped spread the seed and it's beautiful. But I don't run on it first thing in the morning. Nope, I sit and look at it.
You may not think it gets cold in Arizona in the winter, but it does. It was a cool 50 degrees this morning.
But lucky for me the high is 73.
I get to strip off the boots, take off my hat, run around in my t-shirt and play outside all day long.
I love AZ winters.
Even if it doesn't ever rain and these crazy yellow boots I love never get put to any real use.

Such a silly kid. I love him. My kids also love the Arizona winters, and who are we kidding? I love them too. Where else can you run around in jeans, a t-shirt and flip flops in December??
Hey, I know a place where those rain boots could be put to good use. I bet he would even love a yellow umbrella too. Why not come out and visit this winter and make Dax the happiest boy on Earth? Yup, I like that idea.
